Kunst der Fuge / OnClassical site contains the greatest and best well-ordered MIDI & ZIP resource of free classical music in MIDI files ever created inside the web!

The ZIP collections and the large ZIP archive

Each ZIP collection:

Is subdivided per composer or item (Polish music, Masses...). Some great composers are also subdivided on more ZIP files (see for example Bach and Beethoven...).

Contains files the names of which are mostly sentences containing author, title and number of opera, number of movement, owner of sequence.

Zipped size is approximately 1 mbyte or less and contains several MIDI files (certain collections contain even over 500 files!).

Contains complete and full length MIDI files - not spot files.

(May) contain(s) more files than those published on the site.

Last note: any recent additions may not yet be included in the ZIP collections herein, since it is required that a consistent number of MIDI files be reached before we can make a new mixed collection. In any case, you can download single files from the site pages where new files will be indicated with the symbol

The XL ZIP archive

The XL ZIP archive is a unique (extra) large archive which includes thousands of MIDI files in perfect order. We took care to rename the files in a very exaustive and clear way (see examples: 1, 2); furthemore only at kunstderfuge.com you will find the exact name of the author for each sequence or performance (note that no other website does such a right and respectable work!).

This is the major, legal and authorized collection of classical music in MIDI/ZIP files world wide for quantity and quality!
